The Cream of Clapton Band are going on a tribute tour celebrating Eric Clapton’s record-breaking 24-night residency at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 1991. They will be playing Clapton’s classics but will also play hits from his albums Behind the Sun, August and Journeyman. Eric Clapton’s nephew is the founder of the band, Will Johns. Johns is the band’s lead guitarist and vocalist. Will’s father is Andy Johns who is a legendary recording engineer and producer and is nephew to producer Glyn Johns. Will has five albums out now with the most recent called “Yin & Yang” that was released in October 2023. Noah East is the co-founder of The Cream of Clapton and is the pianist and organist for the band. He is also the son of Nathan East, one of the most recorded bass players in music history and a long-time member of Eric’s band. A big name that is in The Cream of Clapton is Steve Ferrone, he had a six-year tenure with Eric Clapton. He was on tour and helped record Journeyman and Eric’s best album “Unplugged”. In his career he has worked with some of the top musicians in the industry. Eric Clapton is regarded as one of the most successful and most influential guitarists in rock music.
