Check out Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper at the PNC Bank Arts Center on Saturday, September 7th!

Rob Zombie is an American singer, songwriter, producer, and filmmaker, from Haverhill, Massachusetts. From his youth, he had a lot of interest in horror and sci-fi movies, which later influenced many of his projects in both music and film. The 59-year-old’s talents are focused on a niche genre of metal, and hard rock, with popular songs “Feel So Numb” and “Dragula”.

Before Zombie’s solo success, he founded a band in 1985 called “White Zombie” which he named after the 1932 horror film directed by Victor Halperin. Rob was the founder and front man of the band and with them created 4 heavy metal studio albums, in all White Zombie sold around 6 million records before they disbanded in 1998. When Rob Zombie ventured into his solo efforts, his first track “Hands of Death (Burn Baby Burn)” with Alice Cooper was so successful he won a Grammy for Best Metal Performance. As of late, Zombie announced in May 2023, he has been working on an album set to release in summer of 2024.

Alice Cooper, born Vincent Damon Furnier of Detroit Michigan is a singer, songwriter, and actor with a successful career for over 6 decades. “Alice Cooper” originated in Pheonix, Arizona, as a band of 5 with Furnier as the frontman lead vocalist (and later adopting Alice Cooper as a stage name), with Glen Buxton on lead guitar, Dennis Dunaway on bass guitar and backing vocals, Michael Bruce as rhythm guitar, Neal Smith on drums.

Cooper experimented with several musical styles but is most known for his work in the hard rock and heavy metal industry by helping shape the sound of these genres, he has also been given the credit of introducing horror imagery into the rock and roll scene. Alice Cooper is notorious for his showmanship and ability to stage a giant production, he puts on a show with many props, pyrotechnics, and gruesome imagery—he pulls much of his inspiration from genres of horror, macabre, vaudeville, and garage rock. Even as a 76-year-old, Cooper has no intention of retiring, and is excited to be going on tour across 13 countries this year.
