When Zou Zou from Soraia visits WDHA, it’s always a fantastic day!
It’s Terrie Carr, and as you know we love having special guests in our WDHA studio. Our doors are always open and our mics are always on to welcome Rock and Roll friends, and to close our the month of March and “Women’s History Month”, I invited one of our favorite bas ass, female rockers to co-host the Queens Of Noise show with me. Zou Zou Mansour is one of South Jersey/Philadelphia’s most charismatic and talented rockers. Her band Soraia has an organic, rootsy garage rock, punk infused raw sound and Zou Zou’s voice is banging! The band is made up of Travis Smith on Guitar // ZouZou Mansour// Brianna Sig on Drums and they have been a part of Little Steve Van Zandt’s “Wicked Cool” record label for many years. – Check out the label’s roster and website! Zou Zou stopped by to hang with me on the final WDHA Queens Of Noise show of “Women’s History Month” and we had a blast catching up and playing some really cool tunes by the incredible women in rock and roll. We even highlighted female guitar players too!
