We are just about a week away from our WDHA Dover Dodge Dog Days of Summer bash at Dover Dodge, Chrysler Jeep Ram on Rt. 46 East In Rockaway NJ!
Come out, bring the kids, your friends and dogs on a leash are welcome to beginning at noon to support our local shelters and jam with great friends, great BBQ and cool music!
I have been receiving a few questions about the event, so here are a few that are “frequently asked”….
Does It Cost To Get In?
NOOOOOOO!!! WDHA and Dover Dodge want this day to be about our rescues and the community so we NEVER charge an admission fee. AND the BBQ pit is rocking and the food and drink are free too! So is the Ice Cream from Mr. Softee. We encourage bringing a pet supply or making a donation to one of our shelters if you can.
Can I Adopt On The Spot?
Every shelter has a different policy and you can fill out applications for all the pups and bring some home that day!
The key is to find the dog that is a great fit and there will be many to pet, meet and greet on 6/3!
Is It Actually IN The Dealership OR Outside?
It’s an indoor/outdoor event, the indoor part in Dover Dodge’s climate controlled GIANT show space which you can access from the dealership, parking lot or side entrance!
Where Can We Find Saving Abel? AND Will There Be Available Tickets To Their Starland Show That Night Available?
We always do acoustic performances at our Dover Dog events, so it’s not too loud for our animals who have keen senses of hearing! Saving Abel will do an acoustic performance (2 or 3 songs) and hang with the pups and fans! AND if you donate pet supplies we will have a ticket for you for the show just for donating (while supplies last so get there early!!)
Who Else Will Be On Site?
We have vendors, and a special appearance from Steve Brown from Trixter who will jam a tune or two!
Hang out with DHA staffers and listen to the live broadcast that begins at Noon!

What Kind Of Supplies Do Shelters Need?
This is a VERY frequently asked question and there are A LOT of answers!
Dog and Cat food, wet and dry, littler, leashes, collars, harnesses, toys, treats, paper towels, cleaning supplies, wee wee pads, crates, cages, doggie shampoo, towels, doggie coats and sweaters, peanut butter….
And remember…give a donation…get a ticket for Saving Abel for Starland Ballroom while supplies last …..help us fill the Dover Dodge trucks!
