Rock Candy

Malcolm Young was born on January 6, 1953.

The iconic rhythm guitarist remains one of the most influential figures in rock as the backbone and creative driving force behind AC/DC. When he passed away in November 2017 due to dementia, a number of tributes cropped up including a couple of murals in Melbourne, Australia.

The Malcolm Young murals are can be found on AC/DC Lane. It’s a narrow roadway within Melbourne’s central business district. Each mural is based on popular photographs of Young. One is a close-up portrait, and the other showing Young with a guitar.

In honor of his birthday, scroll through the gallery below to check out these stunning tributes to Malcolm Young.
