Jersey Magazine with Jim Monaghan

This morning on Jersey Magazine, our guest is board-certified hand and orthopedic surgeon with specialized fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery Dr. Jonathan Shearin at Tri-County Orthopedics.

Tri-County is offering wide-awake hand surgery, a relatively new development in surgical procedures, for candidates who meet certain criteria.

These procedures allow patients to undergo their procedure in an office setting and return home the same day as their procedure.

Dr. Shearin sees patients at Tri-County Orthopedics in several locations – Cedar Knolls, Jefferson, Lake Hopatcong, and Bedminster.

Wide-Awake Hand Surgery

Also known as WALANT (wide-awake local anesthesia, no tourniquet), wide-awake hand surgery is an advanced technique that allows patients to remain awake during their procedure. These procedures are performed to treat a range of needs, including trigger finger, Dupuytren’s contracture, ganglion cysts and tendon injuries.

“Wide-awake hand surgery is a groundbreaking treatment option, and I’m proud to offer it to area patients,” said Dr. Shearin. “At Tri-County Orthopedics, we are committed to improving the patient experience, and the innovative techniques used in wide-awake hand surgery offer a faster, more comfortable approach for lasting solutions to restore hand and wrist function and strength.”

    About Didi

Didi is just PERFECT! She is probably just over a year old and was surrendered to the shelter after her family could no longer keep her where they were living. The landlord said NO DOGS!

    Didi loves her toys!
Poor Didi had been in the only home she had ever known, and couldn’t stay. Sunny and the Randolph crew stepped in to find her the perfect home. After all, she is a near-perfect dog. Didi is very friendly and likes meeting new people. The shelter has experienced her positive behavior with other dogs AND she is fine with cats as well! Didi also lived with children and is fine having little ones around. She is such a lovely girl. Didi really likes to play with toys, is easy on the leash (no pulling, lunging, barking) is housebroken, and really bonds quickly with humans. She’s a super, duper nice dog. And I don’t want to leave out how stunning she is to look at with her beautiful, expressive eyes, shiny coat, and sweet face.

What’s The Process For Adopting Didi?

It gives the animals time out of the shelter, the opportunity to thrive in a home environment, and of course, gives you the opportunity to fall in love.
