We go waaaaaay back with Sammy at WDHA. Originally in Montrose, followed by an incredible solo career, a member of HSAS and of course the legendary Van Halen before starting his band with the Waborita’s , Chickenfoot and The Circle, Sammy is not only one of rock’s most iconic vocalists, but also one of rock music’s nicest guys. He’s simply “the best” and over the years I’ve been lucky enough to have some fun with him.
Sammy has stopped by the WDHA studios in little old Cedar Knolls many times, always delightful, fun and really energetic. He also has been very generous with his time granting me onsite interviews on location (whenever I would ask!) and once I was even summoned to fly to California to interview him at a large convention.
NOW, those that know me well know that there are very few things in life I HATE. Flying is one of them. I loathe it, however, Sammy Hagar can get me on a plane to Cali. Yup, that’s how great he is. I grabbed 12 photos from my personal collection to look back in time which is always fun. I hope you enjoy them too!
Sammy always puts on a phenomenal show and I’m so excited we are getting an east coast, New Jersey date at The PNC Bank Arts Center and more excited that I have tickets to give away all day on WDHA’s 10 in 10 Thursday!
