I love to start my day off with a good breakfast. And every now and then I love to chow down on a bagel with some cream cheese. I’m old-fashioned – plain cream cheese is preferred.

I do enjoy an everything bagel that is light, with a little crisp on the outside. But, if I’m being honest, a bagel made anyway is usually fine by me. And I’ve also been known to indulge in unique spreads, like bacon cream cheese or Olive Cream cheese. Bagels fill you up easily and are, at least to me, a comfort food. Whether you enjoy them plain or with butter or jelly, it doesn’t matter. They go down easily and satisfy you for a while.

Jersey, as a whole, has a ton of wonderful bagel spots. Many of them with their own specific cooking technique. But I thought we’d dive in today and take a look at Morris County.

There are some amazing spots here with really good bagels and even with really good spreads as your topping. Oh, and I should mention – by no means am I forgetting that you can take a bagel and stuff it with pork, roll, egg, and cheese. But this list focuses on the overall taste of the bagel and spread of choice, not the meats, eggs, or cheeses inside.

Keep in mind that this list is in no particular order and is not a ranking. It’s just a list of 6 of the best spots to get a bagel in Morris County.

There’s an overwhelming number of places you can go to. And I’m sure some people will disagree with a few of the places I list or wonder why I left off some others. But, you can just let me know. Shoot me an email and maybe I could do a part two!
