Another week brings with it another batch of new releases! As we focus on Hard Rock and Metal albums, let’s dive in and see what is coming out.

  • AVENGED SEVENFOLD - ….LIFE IS BUT A DREAM

The members of A7X have not been shy about saying there is a lot of experimentation on this album. What started back in 2016’s The Stage is continued and added onto with multiple layers, odd time signatures, and strange effects.

The members of Avenged have also said that they were using some hallucinogenics while writing this material.  Needless to say, it should be interesting! Take a look at their latest track…..it’s a cool video too!

  • BLACK SABBATH – LIVE EVIL 40TH ANNIVERSARY

Could Sabbath carry on without Ozzy?  Well, “Heaven and Hell” and “Mob Rules” are two of their classic albums, so I would say the answer is yes!

They decided to release their first official live album with Dio and the results were amazing.  Now 40 years later, we’re getting a remixed/remastered version of the album with plenty of bonus tracks.

It should sound stellar.  And yes, there’s a mix of both Dio and Ozzy cuts on this gem of a live album!

  • FOO FIGHTERS – BUT HERE WE ARE

I know I know….it’s not really hard rock or metal. But this is such a massive release! Dave Grohl is behind the kit.  Emotional and intense lyrics. A wall of guitars. And something to prove – Can The Foos continue without longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins?

We’ll see if this record holds up to the same level as some previous Foo classics.
