I’ve been super lucky to have had The Metal God in our WDHA studios multiple times, catch up with them on location for interviews and to have worked with the band on a few interview projects including their “Firepower” radio special AND “Redeemer Of Souls” DVD release radio special. It is always such a joy to hang out with Rob Halford and the band for interviews as not only am I a priest SUPER FAN- But they are some of the greatest people in music.
Halford is one of my favorite people EVER! Simply a gem of an amazing gentleman. I’ll tell you a secret. There aren’t many women who have been asked to host national rock radio specials. Sometimes in rock, that’s just the way it is. Rob Halford was always so supportive of me hosting these specials for the band and I never, ever forget that! Knowledge over gender- the way it should be. Thank you Rob. 5 great memories here- two studio visits, 2 radio specials and 1 video interview!
I went into my archives and grabbed a few behind-the-scenes shots from Rob’s visits to WDHA in the 1990’s, to the “Firepower” special I hosted back in 2018.
