Move over HBO, the masterminds behind Game of Thrones are heading to Netflix.

Showrunners David Benioff and D.B Weiss have just struck gold with a massive deal with Netflix.

According to Just Jared, the team will write, produce, and direct both TV series and films for the streaming company. Specific dollar amounts have not been released, but it is a multimillion-dollar, multi-year deal.

CCO of Netflix, Ted Sarandos explains in a statement that the company is excited to have the team on board. “We are thrilled to welcome master storytellers David Benioff and Dan Weiss to Netflix. They are a creative force and have delighted audiences worldwide with their epic storytelling. We can’t wait to see what their imaginations will bring to our members.”

Benioff and Weiss also add: “We’re excited about the same storytelling possibilities. Netflix has built something astounding and unprecedented, and we’re honored they invited us to join them.”
