Motörhead’s upcoming covers collection, Under Cöver, features a previously unreleased rendition of the David Bowie classic “Heroes,” which is now streaming via YouTube along with a new video.
Between the live shots of the late Lemmy Kilmister and his trademark vocals, the track takes on a surprisingly poignant tone most wouldn’t normally associate with Motörhead. Intended or not, the video and song serve as a fitting tribute to one of metal’s biggest heroes and icons.
Under Cöver will be released on September 1.
