Rock Candy

Besides being a renowned chef and award-winning TV host, the late Anthony Bourdain was a massive music fan, with a penchant for rock and punk, so it’s not surprising that he made some music friends throughout his remarkable life.

Among his friends are Queen of the Stone Age, whose frontman Josh Homme appeared on Bourdain’s shows and co-wrote the theme to Bourdain’s CNN series Parts Unknown.

Video has since surfaced of QOTSA’s set at the Northside Festival in Denmark this past Friday (June 8), the day Bourdain died the result of a suicide, where Homme dedicated the band’s performance of “Long Slow Goodbye” to his friend.

“Sometimes, you lose somebody.  And today we lost somebody, so this is for Tony,”  said Homme.

The moving performance can be watched below.
