VIDEO: RHCP Play Surprise Set at Chad Smith’s Children’s School
Remember when parents used to come to school for “Career Day”? Well, imagine if one of your classmates’ parent was in one of the biggest bands of all time, and the band came to school to perform for everyone.
That’s, in essence, what happened yesterday (October 31) at the Viewpoint School in Calabasas, Calif. when the Red Hot Chili Peppers played a surprise mini-set for the school’s Halloween assembly. Drummer Chad Smith sends his children to the day school, which is how the band landed this choice gig.
You can watch the performance below which consisted of the Halloween song “Spooky Scary Skeletons” and the Chili Peppers hit “Can’t Stop.”
