Jersey Magazine 4-3-22
Each week on the Jersey Magazine we pick topics of local interest to our listeners.
Paige Monaghan grew up in Roxbury (oddly enough, her dad’s name is Jim!) and was a star athlete at Roxbury High School before moving on to Butler University where she was a dominant Big East player.
Now a forward for the NJ/NY Gotham FC, Paige and Jim (our Jim, not her dad) talk about the new 2022 season, this year’s Challenge Cup series, and the team’s exceptional community outreach program.
This week’s Rock N’ Ruffdog Lourdes joins us from Northstar Pet Rescue. Lourdes is a very friendly female Belgian Malinois shepherd who would make a wonderful addition to your family.
COACH SHEETS’ RIDE IN – Jeremy Sheetinger is the head baseball coach at Georgia Gwinnett College where he led the Grizz Gang to the 2021 NAIA National Championship. His weekly “fire me up” tweet every Thursday may, on the surface, be geared toward his fellow baseball coaches, but his motivational message can easily be applied to the classroom, workplace, and your personal relationships. This week, Coach Sheets explains how real growth happens when we get tired of our own excuses.

Real growth happens when we get tired of our own crap… our excuses… the tired story we keep telling ourselves!
Change it!

Each Friday in February and March, WDHA honors teaching professionals by welcoming them to the Teachers Who Rock Class of 2022. Today we congratulate two ESP’s – Sandy Alexander from Sandshore School, and Connie Francavilla from Lincoln Park Middle School.
