Jersey Magazine 5-22-22
Each week on the Jersey Magazine we pick topics of local interest to our listeners.
John Caporaso is a life-long Morris County resident with a really interesting background. With a career path that led him to becoming a registered respiratory therapist, John has also served in two branches of the United State military – the Marine Corps and (currently) Army.
John comes from a family with a long military heritage. With Memorial Day coming shortly, Jim Monaghan spoke with John about the journeys he has taken in his professional and military careers and how each has shaped him.
Dr. Bonnie J. Kaplan is a research psychologist and the co-author of The Better Brain: How to Overcome Anxiety, Combat Depression, and Reduce ADHD and Stress with Nutrition. With May being Mental Health Awareness Month, Jim Monaghan and Dr. Kaplan discuss how the foods we eat can contribute to less stress and anxiety and help our overall mental health.
This week, Rock N’ Ruff presents Rodney the Rottweiler. He was a show stealer at our recent Dog Days of May event at Dover Dodge. With his GORGEOUS good looks and gentle, friendly nature, he would be a wonderful addition to your family.
Rodney loves meeting people, he’s gentle with all and really loves making dog friends. He is very patient and respectful with dogs of all sizes,. Rodney was an owner surrender when his family simply couldn’t keep him anymore and ended up at Associated Humane Society Of Newark of no fault of his own. Terrie Carr knighted him “MVP of the Day” Most Valuable Puppy because of his temperament. If you are looking for a large dog or LOVE the Rottweiler breed please set up a time to meet Rodney.
COACH SHEETS’ RIDE IN – Jeremy Sheetinger is the head baseball coach at Georgia Gwinnett College where he led the Grizz Gang to the 2021 NAIA National Championship. His weekly “fire me up” tweet every Thursday may, on the surface, be geared toward his fellow baseball coaches, but his motivational message can easily be applied to the classroom, workplace, and your personal relationships. This week, Coach Sheets talks about how if you want to be successful, you have to get the right people in the room with you.
