7-Eleven: When Is ‘Bring Your Own Cup Day?’
Bring your favorite cupware to 7-Eleven’s “Bring Your Own Cup Day” on Saturday, Aug. 27. On this day only, you’ll be able to fill anything that can fit under a Slurpee dispenser for $1.99.
To participate in “Bring Your Own Cup Day,” you must be a loyalty member who has accounts with 7-Eleven’s 7-Rewards and/or Speedway rewards.
The company’s signature flavors include Cherry, Blue Raspberry, Coca-Cola, Pina Colada, while Mango Lemonade is this summer’s seasonal offering. To make your Slurpee more unique, you can even mix flavors to spice up your personal preference.
“We know that Slurpee drinks are a summertime staple for customers, so we’re bringing back BYOC Day to celebrate the popular frozen beverage for a second time this summer following a very successful Slurpee Day,” said Dennis Phelps, 7-Eleven proprietary beverages senior product director per FOX5NewYork.
“We want customers to build the Slurpee drink of their dreams while having fun with their vessel of choice – and we can’t wait to see some of the creative cups they come up with,” Phelps added.
The only requirement is that a customer’s chosen cup is clean, leak-proof, and fits upright under the dispenser hole in the Slurpee machine, which has a 10-inch diameter, according to 7-Eleven per the outlet.
“Bring Your Own Cup Day” is held at participating 7-Eleven, Stripes, and Speedway locations. The anticipated event has returned after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
