Ozzy Osbourne has a number of guests on his upcoming album Patient Number 9. Among them is Eric Clapton, but the guitar god had an issue with a lyric on the LP about Jesus.

Speaking to Classic Rock magazine, Osbourne talks about "One Of Those Days," the track that features Clapton. The track features the lyric "One of those days that I don't believe in Jesus."

The Prince of Darkness said, "It’s not an 'I Am An Anti-Christ' song. It’s about those days where everything goes f---ing wrong, and you’re going nuts trying to fix everything up," which he admits will likely "cause s---."

Ozzy continued, "[Clapton] said, 'Oh, I'm not sure about that lyric,' so we tried to replace it with some alternatives. We did 'One of those days where I don’t believe in Christmas' but it didn't sound right. Losing faith in Jesus makes much more sense when the world is turning to s---."

Patient Number 9 comes out on September 9 and is available of pre-save/pre-order here. In addition to Clapton, the album also features Tony Iommi, Jeff Beck, Chad Smith, Robert Trujillo, Duff McKagan, Zakk Wylde, Josh Homme and Mike McCready. The album's tracklist is below.

Ozzfest kicked off its first year on October 25, 1996.

The festival was famously founded by Sharon Osbourne after Lollapalooza turned down Ozzy Osbourne for a spot on their lineup. Ozzfest would later expand to a touring festival traveling throughout the United States and have stints in Europe and Japan.
