Godsmack is back with a new single titled "Surrender," their first piece of new music since their 2018 album When Legends Rise.

In a statement, singer Sully Erna said of the song, "'Surrender' is a very cut-and-dry song. It's simply about the exhaustion we can all feel in relationships at times from the redundancy of fighting with each other. At a certain point in our lives, we submit to putting aside who's right or wrong, we just want it to STOP! So, we wave the white flag."

"Surrender" can be heard below and is available for streaming and download here. As of publishing, there are not any details related to a new album this new track could be attached to.

Godsmack is currently prepping for their upcoming European tour, which kicks off October 5 in Cologne, Germany. The tour will wrap on October 26 in Bucharest, Romania before the band heads over to South America for three dates in November.

Initially included in their European tour were stops in Ukraine and Russia. However, due to the ongoing Russia invasion and war with Ukraine, those shows were canceled. The band shared, in part, in a statement, "We want to thank all the fans who purchased tickets for these shows and are very sorry we are unable to perform for them...Our thoughts are with the Ukrainian people, their families and friends as they continue to navigate through these challenging times."
