New Jersey Winery Named One Of The Best For A Fall Visit
Fall just feels like the right time to be at a vineyard. The Travel named the best wineries to visit on the East Coast this fall, and a New Jersey spot was named.
“September and October is peak season for harvesting the grapes in many parts of the country, and the vineyards take on a golden hue that enhances the magic,” The Travel explains.
Furthermore, many of these wineries listed offer tours, tastings, and their own bottles of wine for you to bring home. If you are looking for an adventure or group activity to indulge in the Garden State autumn air, this winery has everything you need. They even have their own tasting room.
Unionville Vineyards
Located at 9 Rocktown Rd, Ringoes, New Jersey, Unionville Vineyards is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. This is an 88-acre farm that was originally part of a peach orchard dating back to the 1850’s. In 1987, the first vines were planted. Then, in April of 1993, the wineries officially opened.
Present day, they are open seven days a week from 12 pm-5 pm. They offer 14 different wines in red, white, and rosé variations. Unionville allows you to shop online or at the property. They also have a quarterly wine club called STAMPED. In addition, you can partake in their social club that enables guests “to learn about grape growing, winemaking, or just get the inside look at the goings on at Unionville.”
If you want to tour the property, the Cave Room is a spot not to be missed. It’s a rustic space filled with wine barrels, tables, and stools fully equipped for small gatherings. Lastly, if you are interested in having a fall wedding at this New Jersey destination named among the best wineries on the East Coast, they also offer that.
