Here Is New Jersey’s Favorite Competition TV Show
In theory, competition programs have been part of classic television programming for many years. However, the reality show takeover of the past 20 years has certainly led to a more innovative selection of head-to-head battles for viewers to enjoy. The Loupe recently detailed the favorite competition show in every state, and in New Jersey the choice is all about the American dream.
“From singing sensations to culinary masterpieces and mesmerizing dance performances, competition shows have become a beloved part of our cultural landscape,” The Loupe says.
Shark Tank Wins Favorite New Jersey Competition Show
The likes of Mark Cuban, Mr. Wonderful (aka Kevin O’Leary), Lori Grenier, and Daymond John have been supporting entrepreneurs since 2009. Part of the format of Shark Tank over 15 seasons is also to have occasional special guest “sharks.” The fun here is that they all come from different professional backgrounds. For example, Alex Rodriguez, Ashton Kutcher, and Kevin Hart have all appeared as guests on the show. Furthermore, Shark Tank has made an effort to follow the impact of certain businesses as they reach new heights in sales and within their communities.
In order to compile this report, The Loupe analyzed Google Trends and search data from 2004 to the present. The results they found that people love popular series such as America’s Got Talent and The Masked Singer. The Voice claimed the honor of being the competition show that audiences love the most. Six states had this as their choice. American Idol is still going strong. Moreover, it’s the second favorite competition show according to this ranking.
As for New Jersey, we don’t stand alone. Florida was the only other state that has Shark Tank as their favorite competition show.
As you probably know, new episodes air on Fridays at 8 pm EST on ABC. You can also stream the show on Hulu. Late last year, Mark Cuban announced he will leave the show after season 16.
