Truly Hard Seltzer Drops Hot Wing Sauce Flavor
The Super Bowl brings out the creativity of many companies. Truly Hard Seltzer is now one of them with their recent launch. The brand announced the limited-edition release of its Hot Wing Sauce-flavored seltzer.
The bad news is that it sold out the moment it was released. However, Truly said an “immediate restock is on its way.”
When sharing the news on their website, Truly wrote, “Want to take your big game watch party to the next level without shelling out $10,000 on tickets? Truly has you covered with their weirdest, wildest, ‘who’s ready for some damn football’ -est flavor to date: Hot Wing Sauce!”
What to know.
The exclusive flavor is sold in a pack of four 16-ounce cans and is available on GiveThemBeer.com. Each four-pack sells for $24 and can only be delivered to customers 21 and up in five states. These states include California, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York.

Truly posted about the release on Instagram, and, of course, it was met with mixed reviews. One commenter wrote that they were “checking the calendar to see if it’s [April Fool’s Day].” Meanwhile, another enthusiastic fan wrote in all-caps, “I’M GONNA DRINK THIS WITH A SIDE OF RANCH.”
Some people were more concerned by their distribution list. “Worst states to sell this in; bring it to the Midwest where we have taste buds and drink St Elmo’s cocktail sauce for fun,” someone wrote.
Truly isn’t the first to experiment with unusual flavor combinations. Last year, Doritos teamed up with Empirical to launch a nacho cheese flavor liquor. The nacho cheese spirit was made using real Doritos chips. Recently, Burt’s Bees partnered with Hidden Valley to create a ranch-flavored lip balm. Also, spotted at some Dollar Tree locations are chip and cereal-inspired bath bombs with Cheetos, Doritos, Froot Loops, and Lucky Charms.
