Tom Brady Leads Tampa Bay Buccaneers To Super Bowl Victory
Star quarterback Tom Brady won his seventh Super Bowl title tonight, in a very definitive 31-9 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Rival quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who was fighting a toe injury from two weeks ago, led the Chiefs to a Super Bowl win last year. Tonight was the first time the Chiefs lost a game that Mahomes started by double digits.
Brady, at 43, is the oldest player ever to play in a Super Bowl, and shows no signs of slowing down. While his peers are figuring out their post-NFL careers and gauging their chances at the NFL Hall of Fame, Brady may well bring Tampa Bay back to the Super Bowl next year. Tonight marked Brady’s tenth Super Bowl appearance and his seventh win. It was Tampa Bay’s second time winning the Super Bowl.
It’s been a good year for Tampa Bay sports: the Lightning won the National Hockey League’s Stanley Cup. The Rays played in the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
