This Is New Jersey’s Favorite Christmas Movie
Christmas is less than two weeks away, so it’s time to dive into the many holiday films to choose from.. There have been countless number of Christmas films made. New Jersey has one in particular that tops the list.
According to Wishlisted, New Jersey’s favorite Christmas film is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. The Garden State is not alone in this choice. 40 other states also included it as their favorite Christmas film, according to the lifestyle publication. Joining New Jersey were New York, California, and Massachusetts, among others.
The films chosen by other states were Die Hard, Edward Scissorhands, Gremlins, It’s a Wonderful Life, Love Actually, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and The Shop Around the Corner. The publication searched the top 25 Christmas films on IMDb’s Top 100 Christmas movies of all-time list and compared those movies against search popularity data in Google Trends by state. Out of 25 movies, only eight were state favorites.
It’s a Wonderful Life is the country’s second-favorite holiday movie, with Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho and Wyoming claiming it as their number one pick. Coming in third is Die Hard which was chosen by Alaska making it the country’s third-favorite holiday movie.
