LAS VEGAS, NV - MAY 09: (L-R) Recording artists Matt "Da Kurlzz" Busek, Jordon "Charlie Scene" Terrell and Jorel "J-Dog" Decker of Hollywood Undead perform during Rock in Rio USA at the MGM Resorts Festival Grounds on May 9, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I always love following metal bands and checking out new metal! I have been a fan of the heavy stuff since I was a kid. I love the fact that there are all different types and subgenres. It’s really intriguing. I was excited when we announced this year’s Rock The Park lineup, because not only does it include Halestorm and I prevail, but also Hollywood Undead! I wanted to show you 5 awesome songs from Hollywood Undead. I think they’ll get you pumped for their performance at Rock The Park.

This band definitely has an interesting sound fusing rap and rock together. Many bands have done it before, but they have done it really well, ever since their debut album “Swan Songs” in 2008. This is another band that churns out a ton of music to keep fans never waiting too long for new material. Since 2008 they’ve released 8 albums! That’s a lot of music in their “short” career. I always think that’s a great thing because it gives fans so much to go through and check out without having to wait and wait for their favorite band to finally put out something new.

What makes the Hollywood Undead sound so unique is that they fuse some electronic elements with their heavy guitars. The drums keep a groovy beat and the songs make you bop your head. They also use some interesting instruments and sounds to propel the songs forward. You never know what to expect from these guys. And it’s cool because it keeps you on your toes and makes each album a cool journey to go on.

Their most recent album, “Hotel Kalifornia,” came out in 2022 and it’s another catchy release from the group.

To get you excited for Rock The Park, let’s take a look at 5 Awesome Song from Hollywood Undead.

  • MY TOWN

A cool tune about their turf and the area they’re from! A nice hook too!

  • WE

I love that it starts up with a cool snare sound and then almost a Linkin Park arrangement kicks in.  It works really well!

  • HEART OF A CHAMPION

Lots of emotion in the clean vocals.  It’s a banger that works really well.  The chorus get’s you pumped!

  • UNDEAD

This one is a head bopper, that makes you sing along “Undead!!!”  It’s a heavier one that’s definitely explicit lol.
