The Largest Kidney Stone Ever Makes One Man Guinness Eligible
I’m a hypochondriac, so it’s difficult to watch certain tv channels as there are numerous medication ads for about a billion different health issues always on. Sometimes I worry that I need to go to the doctor and other times I’m able to just brush off the warning signs of what they’re talking about. Tiredness? “Wait, I’m always tired!”
Anyway, I’m always wondering if something is wrong and scared of what could possibly come my way. One thing that doesn’t help is that I’ve never had a kidney stone before. But after reading about this man in Sri Lanka who just had an enormous kidney stone…..I’m freaked out!! LOL
If you’ve ever had a kidney stone, you know how uncomfortable and painful it is, especially when passing it. Well, get a load of this- A man in Sri Lanka got a kidney stone he was never going to be able to pass through his urine because it was too enormous! It was more than 5 inches long and nearly two pounds. That’s right…..two whole pounds!!
Turn out doctors needed to operate on him to remove the giant kidney stone from his urinary tract. They then decided to notify the Guinness Book of World Records. It was the size of a grapefruit when they got it out and it was in fact confirmed to be the largest stones ever recorded. Thankfully the patient is said to be recovering well and feeling ok, but could you imagine??!! That’s one large kidney stone. I’m fearful of even having to pass one the size of a crumb.
Just one more thing I have to try not to worry about!
