Why You Want To Be In NYC When The Zombie Apocalypse Starts, New Study Stays
We know that zombies aren’t real. I mean, at least I’ve never seen one roaming the streets or dining on human flesh. However, there are enough movies, TV shows, and books to get you thinking that it’s possible a zombie apocalypse could happen. You would need a zombie apocalypse study to tell you where you should you be when the invasion is happening.
Well, there was actual research done by a company called Lawn Love to figure out the best city to be in. The researchers used a variety of things to base their data on including supplies, mobility, hideouts (basements or bunkers), and more. They found that Houston Texas would provide you with the best opportunity of surviving the zombie outbreak.
Again, zombies aren’t real and we most likely will never need to know this information it is interesting to know that Houston tops the list of the safest places. NYC came in second. Then San Antonio, Miami, and L.A. I feel like the Garden State offers some pretty cool hiding spots from brain-eating zombies, but unfortunately, we didn’t top the list.
However, the city you do not want to be in is Miramar Florida near Miami according to the zombie apocalypse study. It would be very unsafe, and your survival chances would be quite low.
Again, I can’t stress this enough – I’ve never seen a zombie, heard about an actual attack, nor have any reason to believe that a zombie apocalypse would ever happen. Keep that in mind before you start looking at homes for sale in the Lonestar state.
But, if you just want to be extra careful, you can always stay where you are and just have a bag ready to go, so once things get out of hand you can flee to Houston. I’m not quite sure what you would keep it packed with. Maybe non-perishable food items and some sort of zombie-fighting weapon?
I don’t know. But if I’m wrong and there is an apocalypse, I’ll see you in a bunker in Houston. I’ll be wearing my black WDHA shirt!
