Jersey Magazine 4-23-23
Our guests this morning on Jersey Magazine are Kristen Meistrell, the Vice President of Stewardship at New Jersey Audubon, and Jay Glazer from NFL FOX SUNDAY.
Kristen Meistrell is the Vice President of Stewardship at New Jersey Audubon.
With Arbor Day coming on Friday April 28, Kristen joins us on WDHA’s Jersey Magazine this morning to talk about the importance of healthy trees and forests, and how critical they are to combatting climate change and protecting bio-diversity.
This year, the focus is on New Jersey’s imperiled Atlantic white cedar wetlands.

Jay Glazer is a TV personality and National Football League insider for FOX Sports’ award-winning NFL pregame studio show, FOX NFL SUNDAY.
Jay’s upfront personality lights up the television screen each week during the NFL season, but it also served to hide the anxiety and depression he has dealt with his whole life.
In his book Unbreakable (now available in paperback), Jay gives readers a behind-the-scenes look at both his career and his own mental health journey. In detailing his story, Jay’s goal is to help others find a way out of what he calls their own “gray area.”
Next month is Mental Health Awareness Month and if you’re one of countless people struggling with some kind of depression and/or anxiety, Jay’s book is a good read to help you find your way.
Meet Zoreo from Sedona Shepherd Sanctuary.
Zoreo is a large dog, with a large personality and needs an experienced big dog owner who knows how to manage big guys! Zoreo was also abused and his story is sad as someone threw acid on his back and he is still recovering from his injuries, sp his trust does need to be gained.
If you are an experienced big dog lover and want to meet Zoreo, hit up Sedona at sedonashepherd.com.
COACH SHEETS’ RIDE IN – Jeremy Sheetinger is the head baseball coach at Georgia Gwinnett College where he led the Grizz Gang to the 2021 NAIA National Championship. His weekly “fire me up” tweet every Thursday may, on the surface, be geared toward his fellow baseball coaches, but his motivational message can easily be applied to the classroom, workplace, and your personal relationships. This morning, Coach Sheets talks about the importance of making sure you get the call right – both on and off the field.

In baseball & in life, all we can ask is to:
Get the call right!
Not about pleasing our egos or letting our pride get in the way…
It’s about doing what’s right in the spirit of fairness, having integrity!
