5 Metal Bands That Are Underappreciated
There are so many great heavy bands out there. I thought we could take a look at 5 Metal Bands That Are Underappreciated. Some you may be familiar with and maybe there’s one or two that you never heard of. Either way, this list is subjective and it’s just my opinion, but I think you might dig some of these bands!
I should also mention that this list is in no particular order. I’m going off of what pops into my head! LOL! So, first up…..Atreyu. Around two decades ago they put out an album called “The Curse” and it blew me away. Ever since, I’ve been excited to hear what they’re up to and although their sound has changed and morphed through the years, they always put out high-quality albums. Check out the opening song from “The Curse” here:
Sevendust is a band that has been putting out great music for years. Not to mention they’ve been doing a master class in how to play live for as long as I can remember. They are so filled with energy and passion when they play that it’s almost exhausting to just be in the audience watching them. Truly one of the best heavy bands out there. Check this tune out:
Killswitch Engage is next up. They’ve had vocalist changes, but always put out quality albums that are bangers. Another band that brings it live. So tight. So aggressive and filled with passion when they play. You need to see these guys in person. It’s spectacular!
Another band I absolutely love is Twelve Foot Ninja. They’re a band that has a lot of unique moments in their recordings. Picture Faith No More, but heavier. They’ll have a head-banging tune and switch it up into a jazzy riff that still works without sounding out of place. A very talented band.
Last up is Karnivool. Not sure where they’ve been. It’s been a decade since their last album, but apparently, they are working on a follow-up. Nonetheless, if you dig Tool-like, heavy Prog tunes, these guys are for you. They have great breakdowns and amazing vocals!
