Eric Clapton Breaks Silence After Ginger Baker’s Death
Many tributes have been shared since the death of legendary drummer Ginger Baker over the weekend, and now Eric Clapton has broken his silence since the passing of his Cream and Blind Faith bandmate.
Clapton shared the photo below via his Facebook page along with the simple caption of, “Ginger…..” Baker’s Facebook page, which is currently being run by a member of his family left the comment, “Thank you Eric for all your support. The family xxxxxx.”
Baker died on October 6. He had been dealing with health issues for a number of years leading up to his death. In 2013, he went public with his chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) diagnosis, the result of years of smoking. Baker also said he had degenerative osteoarthritis that resulted in chronic back pain. In 2016, Baker had open-heart surgery.
At the time of publishing, funeral service details have not been released.
