Theresa Caputo – Her Big Hair, Big Accent, Amazing Gift
No doubt you’ve heard of Theresa Caputo.
Better known as the Long Island Medium, her reality TV show ran on TLC from 2011 to 2019.
Theresa is also a New York Times best-selling author and she is bringing her Platinum Experience to the Wellmont Theater in Montclair in a sold out appearance on Friday February 10.
A lot of us had imaginary friends when we were growing up – it’s a natural part of childhood, learning how to communicate and interact. For Theresa, it went one step further – she had her first contact with her deceased great-grandmother who had passed away a few years before she was born. In fact, it wasn’t until Theresa was in her 20’s that she realized who she had seen at that early age.
A defining moment in Theresa’s life came when her mother introduced her to a spiritual healer and teacher named Pat Longo who, after just one session, told Theresa that she was suppressing Spirit’s energy, which was causing her a lot of my anxiety. Longo ultimately helped Theresa learn to channel Spirit and release it with her own words.
Theresa has described this ability to channel the spirits of those who have passed before us as a gift.
