Warped Tour 2025: Could the Festival Return for its 30th Anniversary?
Punk rock fans have been going crazy about rumors online about a possible return of the Warped Tour. Sources say that the tour might return 2025, which would coincide with the festival’s 30th anniversary.
Brian Storm, host of Rock Feed, said he heard from multiple sources that the Warped Tour will return in 2025, and Live Nation will produce the festival with the help of Kevin Lyman, the festival’s creator.
As of yet, there has been no official announcement from LiveNation or Lyman.
The Warped Tour, started in 1995 by Kevin Lyman, was once known as a right of passage for fans and up-and-coming bands.
The festival mixed punk, emo, ska, and alternative and launched many commercial bands, including Blink-182, Paramore, My Chemical Romance, Avenged Sevenfold, Limp Bizkit, Fall Out Boy, Paramore, Katy Perry and many others. It toured nationwide annually for over two decades before ending in 2018.
Katy Perry even shouted out The Vans Warped Tour during her acceptance speech at the 2024 VMA Awards for helping to start her career and where she “found a voice, identity, and community so early on.”
Kevin Lyman has teased the possibility of a comeback over the years. In 2020, he tweeted, “It might just be called something else.” He had plans to do a similar festival in 2021, but ultimately, the plans were canceled because of COVID.
While it’s not confirmed yet, fans have already proven they are ready for the festival’s return and ready to spend money on tickets. There is also no word on if the festival will be a nationwide tour.
Stay tuned for updates, but the Warped Tour might finally return to town in the summer of 2025.
If it does, what would be your dream lineup: Green Day, Fall Out Boy, The Offspring, or 311?
