Jersey Beach Don’ts That You Should Avoid
Labor Day Weekend signifies the unofficial end to Summer. As you plan on driving to the shore, remember there are Beach Don’ts you should avoid. You should already know, there is some etiquette involved in going to enjoy the sand and ocean.
While you’re enjoying the view, it’s important to remember that there are some things that some people hate while trying to relax and have fun in the sand or water. According to a survey, the Top Ten Beach don’ts included the following:
The number one spot with 58% of respondents saying they don’t like this is: DON’T SIT TO CLOSE TO OTHERS IF THERE IS OPEN SPACE.
That should go without saying, but how many times have you been just chilling at the beach and someone sets up their blanket and chairs less than 2 feet from you, meanwhile half the beach is empty. It’s so annoying. Don’t be that person.
The number 4 Don’t that 40% of respondents listed was DON’T PLAY MUSIC TOO LOUDLY. Sure, some cool tunes might be fun, but what’s a good song to you might be torture to someone else. So have some respect and keep your radio or smart speaker on low. Or use earbuds.
Another one I completely agree with. Number 7 on the list with 33% of respondents mentioning it is DON’T GO HEAVY ON THE PDA.
It makes people uncomfortable especially when it’s really intimate or passionate. A peck, a hug…fine. But a full-on make-out session while there are families around trying to enjoy the nice weather is just weird.
I know we all have our Pet Peeves. So maybe take into consideration other people’s DONTS so hopefully, they’ll consider yours. Remember to have fun this weekend soaking up the sun and be sure to keep it safe and use sunscreen!
