FLORIDA MAN STRIKES AGAIN!
DATELINE - Polk County and the Saga of Florida Man Toby Foster.
This happened over thanksgiving. Thanksgiving morning, as a matter of fact, at about 5:30. But it was just resolved a day or so ago.
Toby Foster entered an apartment. There was a problem. It wasn't his apartment.
Now, remember, this is about 5:30 Thanksgiving morning.
There was another problem. He stole some stuff.
Actually, not a whole lot. Just a bottle of vodka and a bottle of Florida's Natural orange juice. I guess he was going to make a screwdriver. I don't know.
He was polite about it. As he exited the apartment, he made sure to turn the lights off. Why waste electricity?
He then tried another apartment door, but that was locked.
How do we know all this? Well, it's caught on video camera on a door cam, which Foster looked right into, so it wasn't difficult to identify him.
The footage is in color. So you could see the baseball cap, you could see the shirt, and you could see his face.
So he stole the ingredients to make a screwdriver and left.
Cops posted the video saying, hey, if you know the guy, reach out to us.
Well, it turns out they didn't have to wait too long because I guess Foster learned that the police were after him. So he went and he turned himself in.
I guess all's well that ends well. I don't know if he had a chance to drink the screwdriver or not, but if he's doing that Thanksgiving morning at 530, he must have had one heck of a night. Or another big night planned.
