John Ginty Remembers Ben Elliott On “All Mixed Up”
You may not recognize his name, but you most definitely know the music Ben Elliott had a hand in.
As the co-owner of Showplace Recording Studio in Dover, Ben recorded, mixed and produced an incredible collection of artists including Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Slash, Steve Miller, Leslie West and Mountain, Peter Green, Mick Taylor, Savoy Brown, Jack Bruce, Rory Gallagher, and many others.
Ben passed away on April 6th after a year-long battle with cancer.
Among the local musicians Ben worked with was John Ginty (John Ginty Band, Allman Betts Band, Dixie Chicks, Allman Brothers, Citizen Cope, Neal Casal and more).
John joined Jim Monaghan on Sunday April 12 on “All Mixed Up” to talk about Ben and share stories of some of the many sessions Ben was a part of.
