Today is National Wear Red Day!
The first Friday each February, American Heart Month, people across the country wear red to raise awareness of the issue of women and heart disease.
The American Heart Association reports that cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of women. If you care for your heart through a healthy diet and exercise, you will reduce the risk for heart disease by as much as 80 percent.
