Author Kent Hartman Talks L.A. Rock On “All Mixed Up”
Kent Hartman wrote the definitive story of the 1960’s Los Angeles rock scene a few years ago with the Los Angeles Times bestseller The Wrecking Crew: The Inside Story of Rock and Roll’s Best-Kept Secret.
He’s back with a brand-new book called Goodnight, L.A.: The Rise and Fall of Classic Rock – The Untold Story From Inside the Legendary Recording Studios.
Starting out with the infamous Charles Manson firing a handgun inside a Los Angeles recording studio, the book is an in-depth look at the incredible music that came out of Southern California in the 1970’s and 80’s.
Kent called into “All Mixed Up” to talk with Jim Monaghan about some of the stories behind the music we all grew up with.
