Jersey Magazine 10-30-22
Each week on the Jersey Magazine we pick topics of local interest to our listeners. This week, Jim Monaghan speaks with Madison Police School Resource Officer Tom Downs about Halloween safety tips, and staff members from the Community FoodBank of New Jersey about this year’s Students Change Hunger program.
Police Officer Tom Downs serves in the Madison Police Department as one of two school resource officers. His role includes developing solid relationships with students in town and making various presentations to students throughout the school year.
With Halloween coming tomorrow evening, Tom discusses important safety tips for children and parents with Jim Monaghan.

The need is greater than ever for students and schools to get involved. Your school can still make a difference by hosting a virtual fundraiser or by asking students to bring donations directly to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey in Hillside.

COACH SHEETS’ RIDE IN – Jeremy Sheetinger is the head baseball coach at Georgia Gwinnett College where he led the Grizz Gang to the 2021 NAIA National Championship. His weekly “fire me up” tweet every Thursday may, on the surface, be geared toward his fellow baseball coaches, but his motivational message can easily be applied to the classroom, workplace, and your personal relationships. Today, Coach Sheets’ message is about time. Life is short, so make the most of it.

Simple but always a great reminder:
Life is too short!
We know this…but how much time do we spend worrying, wondering, deep in the past or focused on the future, etc.
Be right here, right now. Use your time wisely!
