Jersey Magazine 1-22-23
This week, Jim Monaghan is joined by fellow Beasley Media Group co-worker Annie Rodriguez to talk about the rough journey she and her family are undertaking.
Annie Rodriguez is a Digital Sales and Marketing Manager for Beasley Media Group, the company that owns WDHA.
Though you may not recognize Annie’s name, you’re more than familiar with her work – Annie designs a lot of the graphics that you see on WDHA’s website and social media pages. In fact, Annie designed the logo for the Jersey Magazine show.
Two days before Christmas 2022, Annie received the news that she has stage 2 breast cancer. The following few weeks, needless to say, have been a whirlwind of emotions for Annie and her family.
Annie and Jim Monaghan talk about what’s been happening for her since the diagnosis. Annie has also chosen to chronicle her journey via a blog that you can follow – pinkmamaontap.com.
This week on Rock N’ Ruff, we introduce you to Licorice Lonestar from Eleventh Hour Rescue. Licorice is a stunning Shepherd/Basenji mix who is about 1 ½ years old and weighs 45 pounds. She is a very special girl who LOVES people and other dogs. Licorice has a very sweet disposition and she enjoys going for a car ride. Licorice is smart too and knows basic commands, walks well on her leash and is crate and house trained. Licorice is a total love who enjoys tummy rubs and ear and neck scratches. She also likes playing fetch and running races around the yard. Licorice has a lot of energy, so she needs a very active family who will give her the exercise she needs. COACH SHEETS’ RIDE IN – Jeremy Sheetinger is the head baseball coach at Georgia Gwinnett College where he led the Grizz Gang to the 2021 NAIA National Championship. His weekly “fire me up” tweet every Thursday may, on the surface, be geared toward his fellow baseball coaches, but his motivational message can easily be applied to the classroom, workplace, and your personal relationships. This week, Coach Sheets asks, “How often does credit/validation get in the way of an act of service? A good deed? The right thing?”

As a community, let’s live our lives:
WITH Purpose & WITHOUT Credit
Think about how amazing that would be?
But how often does credit/validation get in the way of an act of service? A good deed? The right thing?
