Jersey Magazine with Jim Monaghan

March is Women’s History Month and this week, Jim Monaghan speaks with Elaine Taylor-Klaus from Impact Parents, and he replays his interview with Paula Aldarelli from EarthShare New Jersey.

On Monday April 3, 2023 the WEforum group is bringing Elaine Taylor-Klaus to Forrestdale Middle School in Rumson for a free community conversation “Helping Parents Help Kids.”

Elaine is the co-founder of Impact Parents and is the author of several books including The Essential Guide To Raising Complex Kids.

Elaine and Jim Monaghan talk about some of the issues parents face these days raising complex children in a complex world.

Details on the event can be found here.

Paula Aldarelli is the Executive Director for EarthShare New Jersey.

The organization helps to mobilize the people here in New Jersey to protect our land, water, air and wildlife, making the state a healthier place to live, work and play. They give employers one-stop access to leading environmental organizations, making charitable giving and volunteering easy for their employees and customers.

There are two special events benefitting EarthShare NJ coming up in the next few weeks including one that features Jim Monaghan’s band “Dead Aire.”

Tyler, Dave, Dean and Joey from Theory Of A Deadman stopped by WDHA to love on the Theory Of A Deadman litter (Little Smirk, Gentleman and Dinosaur) from Eleventh Hour Rescue in Randolph and Tyler joined me for this week’s Rock N’ Ruff segment!

These three puppies were rescued from Puerto Rico where their fate would not have been a good one and are typical puppies who are loving, playful and looking for new families who can show them the ropes. They would LOVE another doggie companion as well and will probably grow to about 45 pounds.

Here is the link for video of the Theory guys with the pups!!

COACH SHEETS’ RIDE INJeremy Sheetinger is the head baseball coach at Georgia Gwinnett College where he led the Grizz Gang to the 2021 NAIA National Championship. His weekly “fire me up” tweet every Thursday may, on the surface, be geared toward his fellow baseball coaches, but his motivational message can easily be applied to the classroom, workplace, and your personal relationships. No matter what we do in our lives, there are a lot of people who are supporting us…who make it possible for us to do what it is we do.

Looking for something fun to do in the area? Chris Swendeman has you covered with this week’s Local Look.
