5 Local Concerts To Attend To Rock In The New Year
There’s nothing like a live concert. That feeling you get when you are waiting for your favorite band to take the stage. Then the lights dim, and you know they’re about to come out and bring it! As we kick off this New Year, there’s already a bunch of killer shows that are coming up. Let’s take a look at 5 local concerts to attend to rock in the New Year!
Usually, you round up some friends hop in the car, and make your way to a venue. Tailgating is a favorite pastime for some. While others just head right inside once doors open ready to headbang or feel the music pound in their chest.
Heck, I’ve even gone to a concert myself when I couldn’t find a single person who liked the band, so I bought tickets to see it. And I’ll tell you what – It was a blast. I focused on the musicianship, had a drink, and didn’t have to make chit-chat with anyone. No matter how you go, the concert experience is always unique and fun!
I love seeing what songs a band chooses to perform in their set. There’s always that possibility of a special guest popping up on stage. And then, of course, it’s not just about the music, but what will we see? Explosions, pyrotechnics, video screens. There are so many ways for an artist to present themselves now, it’s amazing!
Thankfully, being in New Jersey, we get so many artists stopping by, whether it’s at one of our many awesome venues or nearby NYC or in Philly.
We’re never at a loss for an awesome show to attend and that’s why I thought we could take a look at what is on the way my friends. Below, you’ll find 5 local concerts to attend to rock in the New Year!
TOOL - MSG on Jan 12th and 13th
This one is coming in just a couple days. 2 dates where Maynard and company will have audio and visual stimuli on stage that will blow you away. Plus, their drummer Danny Carey is amazing to watch as well!
WDHA PRESENTS BEARTOOTH - Palladium Times Square on Jan 26th
The Palladium Times Square will be rockin' loud and heavy with Caleb and company. Such an awesome band full of energy. It'll be great to hear their newer songs from The Surface live!
STATIC X AND SEVENDUST - Starland Ballroom on Feb 10th
Both of these bands bring the heavy riffs and are fueled by the excitement of the fans. Sevendust is a band that always whips the crowd into a frenzy and this is a great venue to see that happen.
PANTERA WITH LAMB OF GOD - Madison Square Garden on Feb 22nd
Sure there were a lot of comments from the naysayers before Pantera even played their first show that this wasn't really Pantera. And while that might be the case, they sound awesome and do a great tribute to Dime and Vinnie, And Lamb of God live is incredible. Check it out!
GWAR - Starland Ballroom March 6th
What a fun band to watch. Who knows what you'll get sprayed with. Who Knows what tunes they're going to do. But they always sound cool and the theatrics are one of a kind!
