This week, Jim Monaghan is joined by Morris County Sheriff James Gannon and Erica Valvano from Hope One Morris County.
HOPE ONE travels four times a week to locations throughout Morris County, bringing services to persons in need. A Sheriff’s officer, licensed mental health professional, and a certified peer recovery specialist – who understand the needs of those suffering with addiction — staff the vehicle. They help people access services and Narcan training.
Sheriff James Gannon and Corporal Erin Valvano talk about Hope One and their mobile recovery access vehicle offers critical support for persons struggling with addiction, with the goals of preventing drug overdoses and deaths, as well as mental health services here in Morris County. You can learn more about Hope One here on the Morris County website.
This week on Rock N’ Ruff, we bring back Fred and Ethel! They have actually been featured before and are still looking for their forever home.
They are a brother and sister bonded pair who have been together their entire lives. They are around 8 years old, boxer/pit mixes and absolutely love ALL people.
They are very well behaved and have the best manners. Fred and Ethel are the sweetest, most affectionate pups and love attention and butt scratches. They love playing in the backyard and Ethel is the best at fetch. They will let you take the ball right out of their mouths so they can play again and again.
Fred and Ethel are larger dogs, but are very calm with visitors and so gentle! They have also done great with kids and are very eager to please.
For info, on meeting these two great dogs email [email protected].
COACH SHEETS’ RIDE IN – Jeremy Sheetinger is the head baseball coach at Georgia Gwinnett College where he led the Grizz Gang to the 2021 NAIA National Championship. His weekly “fire me up” tweet every Thursday may, on the surface, be geared toward his fellow baseball coaches, but his motivational message can easily be applied to the classroom, workplace, and your personal relationships. This week, Coach Sheets talks about “scoreboard watching.” Not in the typical sense of during a game, but keeping track of the Scoreboard of Life.
🚘 HOW ‘BOUT THAT RIDE IN? 🚘

How many of us are keeping track of the “Scoreboard of Life”?
The knockdown, the loss, the setbacks & we keep adding tally marks to that scoreboard
Let’s PLAY THE GAME!
Our response in those moments is what matters!
