WDHA’s Reconnect With Rockers with Caleb Shomo From Beartooth (ZOOM Video)

Beartooth is one of the most exciting, compelling bands in rock music today!

And I LOVE seeing these amazing new bands carrying the torch for ROCK! Now, let’s start at the beginning- Beartooth WAS thought of as a Metal band- Nothing wrong with that, but with their most recent release (their fifth) “The Surface” they are proving they are not a band with boundaries at all!

Much of this is due to their charismatic and super talented (and btw super nice) frontman Caleb Shomo. Let me start by saying that when I first saw Beartooth live I was BLOWN AWAY!

Believe it or not, they took the stage at TWO WDHA Rock The Rock Fest shows-(Caleb explains in the interview) but their RTRF 2023 performance was one for the books. I could not take my eyes or ears off of this band or Caleb!

Certainly, I was waiting patiently for their new record. “The Surface”. Well worth the wait. It is an incredible piece of rock music combining metal, pop, and straight-ahead power.

It focuses on Caleb’s journey through hard times, the path to a better life, and in a way redemption.

Additionally, we discuss all of this and more in this WDHA Reconnect With Rockers webisode, including songwriting, evolution, and inspiration.

Also, Beartooth is rocking NYC at the Playstation Theater (WDHA Presents Beartooth), and unfortunately, the show has sold out. But, WDHA will provide another chance for you to get in and meet the band!

Rockers, I’m telling you- this is a band to WATCH! They are amazing and Caleb is a fantastic songwriter.

I was so happy to have the opportunity to get behind the screen with Beartooth’s incredible frontman- Rock needs ROCK STARS- Caleb Shomo is a ROCK STAR.

Terrie Carr is WDHA’s Program Director and midday–host and is a Jersey Girl - born and raised and has been rocking the Garden State at WDHA for more than half of her life! “Being a part of the lives of our listeners and community every day is a fantastic gift and I’m honored to bring the party to their workday and lives” Says TC. Terrie loves interviewing artists in studio and on her “Reconnect With Rockers” online feature and has hosted nationally syndicated radio interview specials with Judas Priest, Alter Bridge, Black Stone Cherry and more and has appeared on multiple TV shows and rock host of live events. Terrie’s passion is also giving back, and she started the WDHA Rock N’ Ruff program 14 years ago to raise awareness, and funds and find homes for shelter pets throughout the state of New Jersey. Terrie is also a supporter of The American Foundation For Suicide Prevention and the American Cancer Society and volunteers her time for many community outreach programs. Her hobbies are hanging at the beach, going to concerts, and hanging with her best friend, her rescue dog Rosie.
