WDHA Retro Moment- When We Rocked Our Own Puppy Bowl 10 Years Ago! (VIDEO)
Hey Gang! The BIG GAME is coming up on Sunday and no matter who you are rooting for – The Chiefs OR The 49’ers…one thing is clear. The commercials AND the Puppy Bowl will probably be on the agenda too.
Ten years ago I found an excuse to bring in a litter of pups looking for homes from Eleventh Hour Rescue in Randolph. EHRDOGS DOT ORG, set up a fake field, grab some ball toys and grab my “Referee” jacket and highlight the pups looking for homes (The Giants were in that year and the game at Met life so we were all feeling especially FESTIVE!) and create our “WDHA END ZONE TAILS”!
Never did I think our video (above) would come out so good and be SO MUCH FUN! Bam Bam, Spot and Pixie (all from the same litter) and their foster mom from EHR made them the cutest little Jersey style football shirts. It was so awesome.
Fun part for me, I have had a few of these pups stop by WDHA events years later so I got to see how BIG they got and how loved they were. they were adopted immediately obviously, they were so sweet and fun to work with.
I have always loved trying to highlight shelters and shelter animals in fun, creative ways and we had puppy handlers (staffers!), shelter folks, our photographer Joe Frazz and great camera work from Joho!
It’s almost impossible to believe that it’s been ten years since we filmed this awesome video, and as we head into the week of The Big Game, It is SO worth posting again. Thanks to all who have helped us with our WDHA Rock N’ Ruff mission.
And to our shelters, it’s an honor to be a small part of your mission!
