Check-Out Hunger in New Jersey at Kings Food Markets!
This annual campaign runs from Now through January 2020 at your local Kings Food Market. It’s one of the most convenient ways for consumers to help feed hungry families in their communities. By adding a simple donation slip at checkout, shoppers can easily make a gift of $1, $3 or $5 as they shop for groceries.
The campaign, which benefits the Community FoodBank of New Jersey and fellow New Jersey food banks, continues to expand annually and make a growing impact thanks to the support of shoppers who donate!
You can also support Check-Out Hunger® as a volunteer. Store volunteers are needed to help set up and monitor the campaign at local supermarkets, while special event volunteers help coordinate events at participating stores.
Did you know… The Community FoodBank of New Jersey administers the regional campaign on behalf of more than 40 Feeding America food banks and affiliates?

With over 100,000 pounds of food donated to those in need, we’re making a real impact on hunger relief. We’re also helping cultivate fresh produce and ideas through after-school programs and community events. It’s all part of our continuing effort to end hunger and establish positive change in our community.
Feed a Child Today300,000 schoolchildren go to bed hungry in New Jersey, on any given night. For many of them, a school lunch may be the only hot meal they’ve eaten all day. While many welcome the weekend as a respite, it’s a challenge for families with limited food access— children can go for days without a hot, nutritious meal. In response, we proudly launched our Feed a Child initiative, in which customers can purchase pre-assembled donation bags that are distributed directly to schools via local food banks.
