But Officer….I Couldn’t Possibly Have Been Going Over the Speed Limit
Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past few days, you know that Hurricane Idalia is bearing down on Florida, bringing a lot of possible damage with it.
So we thought we’d give Florida Man a couple of days of to help let him deal with the storm. And to be completely serious, we do wish our fellow Beasley Media Group co-workers in Florida the best over these next couple of days.
While we give Florida Man a break for a couple of days, we do ask you…we do ask you, “How did that happen?”
Thank you. I was afraid she wasn’t going to join the show this morning.
This happened just a couple of days ago. John McKee pulled over by Indiana state police.
It wasn’t for going over the speed limit.
His vehicle that he was driving did not have lights on. It was at night, nor were there any reflectors.
Since McKee appeared to be impaired. The troopers who stopped him administered field sobriety tests. McKee reportedly failed those. He agreed to a blood draw at a local hospital. That probably did not go well for him. But he also admitted to the police that he had pot and crystal meth in his system.
McKee also has a rather lengthy rap sheet that includes numerous convictions for crimes like trespass, possession of drug paraphernalia, marijuana possession, and criminal mischief.
The thing about the vehicle that he was driving, he was only doing 5 miles an hour when the police pulled him over.
That happens to be the top speed of the vehicle that he was in, because that vehicle was a Hot Wheels car that a three or a four year old would be driving.
Now, what he was doing in that, God only knows. But as if that’s not a kicker enough, the police called it Troy’s Towing to take possession of the Power Wheels vehicle.
So McKee’s in jail. And the Power Wheels vehicle, well, that’s in the impound as well.
