Feeling A Little Sluggish From the Weekend Time Change?
Feeling a little sluggish or out of sorts this morning as a result of the time change this weekend? If you’re running a little late, be glad you’re not this woman in Australia who found herself trying to catch a flight.
Monday morning on the DHA Morning Jolt. I’m Jim Monaghan.
Of course, we had the time change fall back into standard time if you didn’t change the clocks, you know you’re kind of out of sorts this morning. Maybe things aren’t going that well. You’re dragging a little bit.
It’s why on Mondays we ask you, “How f’d up were you?”
Running late this morning?
We’ve all had that experience. You’re running a little bit late. You’re trying to get to an elevator. You catch somebody’s attention just as the door is closing up. Can you…? And that person holds the door open for you. Oh, gee, thanks.
Or maybe you’re trying to catch a New Jersey Transit train, and you get on the platform and the conductor sees you. He waits just that split second. Thank you so much, sir. Can’t be late for work this morning.
Maybe it’s happened with a bus.
Maybe it’s happened at the airport. You’re running late.
Well, don’t do what this woman did.
HOLD THAT PLANE!
We have to assume that she was perhaps drunk and or high. We’re not 100% sure, but a woman in Australia was arrested after allegedly running onto the tarmac at Canberra Airport in an apparent attempt to stop a flight from leaving without her.
The ordeal was captured on camera as this woman, it says here, “allegedly” ran past airport security.
If it’s on camera, it wasn’t allegedly. She did it.
She ran onto the tarmac under the plane, waving at the pilot to let her on board. “Sir. Pilot, it’s me. You got to hold the flight!”
You can just imagine this. Witnesses watched from the gate in stunned amazement as what was happening unfolded.
Well, she didn’t catch the flight, needless to say. Luckily, the pilot was warned or he saw her. Whatever. He stopped the flight.
Flights at the airport were delayed for about ten minutes before operations returned to normal.
We’re expecting more details at an appropriate time, and an investigation has been launched, and I think we pretty much realize what happened there.
I don’t know if she made a subsequent flight or not.
That’s this morning’s. How f’d up were you here on the WDHA Morning Jolt.
