When I found out that I had the opportunity to have the legendary Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars on WDHA’s Reconnect With Rockers to say I was excited is an understatement! As a major “Motley” fan since the early 1980s, my respect for Mr. Mars as a player has always been massive.

Some musicians play, and others craft a sound. Mick is a sound crafter. No one sounds like him or has the tone, style, and feel that he has. He (to me) is the Motley Crue sound. Now, as we all know Mick is no longer in Motley Crue, and hearing songs from his NEW solo release “The Other Side Of Mars” out on February 23rd (amazing title…because it is a completely other side) knocked me over!

This record is a side (or multiple sides) of him, and I know the fans are going to love it. The songs that have been released so far are both bangers, but the record takes a lot of sonic turns.

Mick has been working on “The Other Side Of Mars” for a while and teamed with vocalists Jacob Bunton and Brian Gamboa who he explains are different and both needed on this record. Mick has a vision and we talk about it!

We also discuss his loyal fanbase,  coming full circle with producer Michael Wagener, future projects and more.

Mick is engaging, funny, humble, and open and was such a pleasure to spend some time with. He promised to check in again in the future- I’m going to hold him to that! I had such a good time with the one and only “Mick Mars” and can’t wait for the full record to drop and to see what the future holds for this guitar icon.

Terrie Carr is WDHA’s Program Director and midday–host and is a Jersey Girl - born and raised and has been rocking the Garden State at WDHA for more than half of her life! “Being a part of the lives of our listeners and community every day is a fantastic gift and I’m honored to bring the party to their workday and lives” Says TC. Terrie loves interviewing artists in studio and on her “Reconnect With Rockers” online feature and has hosted nationally syndicated radio interview specials with Judas Priest, Alter Bridge, Black Stone Cherry and more and has appeared on multiple TV shows and rock host of live events. Terrie’s passion is also giving back, and she started the WDHA Rock N’ Ruff program 14 years ago to raise awareness, and funds and find homes for shelter pets throughout the state of New Jersey. Terrie is also a supporter of The American Foundation For Suicide Prevention and the American Cancer Society and volunteers her time for many community outreach programs. Her hobbies are hanging at the beach, going to concerts, and hanging with her best friend, her rescue dog Rosie.
