Florida Man Arrested While Trying To Get INTO A Police Car To Threaten Someone
Florida Man Strikes Again!
DATELINE – Gainesville FL where Florida Man – with his own criminal history – would try to get INTO a police car so he could threaten someone.
There is a lot going on here. You may have to take notes.
A few days ago at the Come and Go convenience store in Gainesville, a 911 caller reported someone shooting at him in the store from a U-Haul van that was stopped at a nearby traffic light.
Well, of course, the cops respond to the situation. They find the U-Haul, they detain the driver, and they take the driver of the U-Haul, put him in a patrol car, no incident.
That is until the 911 caller, later identified as Florida Man Courtney Crosby, ran toward that patrol car and tried to open the door of it, allegedly, of course, yelling that he was going to kill the man inside.
When officers intervened and tried to handcuff Crosby, he allegedly, of course, physically resisted. Police were able to detain him shortly after, and they placed him smartly in a separate patrol vehicle. I don’t think you’d want these two guys next to each other.
So you’re following along here, right?
An on-the-scene investigation revealed that thed river of the U-Haul was in Bentley’s Upscale Nightclub when shots were fired there. When that happened, the driver got in the U-Haul and took off.
Meanwhile, at the time of that shooting – are you taking notes? Are you following along? – Crosby was at the Come and Go. Surveillance footage there showed Crosby leaving the store and allegedly firing a gun. Crosby’s car sustained bullet holes, and a firearm was found inside.
Well, you do a little background check on Mr. Crosby, and you find out that he’d been arrested twice back in 2010 for sale and delivery of cocaine, plus burglary of a dwelling structure or conveyance. That’s according to the arrest records.
So here’s a guy with a felony record on video surveillance footage firing a weapon, trying to get into a police vehicle to threaten to kill guy who’s in there. Me thinks there’s a little bit of history between these two characters.
