“Pizza Pizza” Costs Florida Man $30000 and Some Time Behind Bars
DATELINE – Bonita Springs FL
You know the Little Caesar’s “pizza pizza” slogan, right? Well an order of two pizzas ending up putting Florida Man behind bars on $30000 bond.
What does Florida Man do when he’s hungry and a little short on cash?
In the case of Florida Man Kennedy Beteta-Maldonado, he goes into a Little Caesar’s and orders a couple of pizzas. Then, while the employee is putting the order into the system, he brandishes a handgun and demands the money in the cash register.
In kind of a reverse “leave the gun…take the cannoli” scenario, Florida Man left the pizzas but took the revolver and about $500 in cash with him.
Actually, he left more behind than just the pizzas. Since he wasn’t wearing either a mask or gloves, his face was plainly visible on the security footage, and his fingerprints were all over the counter.
And as if that wasn’t bad enough, Florida Man made it even easier for the cops to find him because twelve hours later when Beteta-Maldonado was arrested, he was wearing the exact same clothes he had on when he walked into the Little Caesar’s.
So Florida Man is now in custody, with a new outfit (probably of the orange jumpsuit variety), and a bond amount of $30,000.
